Frequently Asked Questions

  • Do I need a referral letter from my vet?
Yes, a referral letter from your vet is required for initial treatment before you can see Emma Carrott VP for physiotherapy. This is to ensure that your pet's medical history and condition are properly assessed and taken into consideration before any treatment is administered. Your vet will provide Emma Carrott VP with all the necessary information regarding your pet's condition, medical history, and any ongoing treatments or medications. This will help Emma Carrott VP create a personalised treatment plan that is tailored to your pet's specific needs. Please note that if you do not have a referral letter from your vet, Emma Carrott VP will not be able to provide any treatment. In November 2020, the RCVs issued a statement that released new guidance (chapter 19 of the supporting guidance) which states that and clarifies that veterinary referral is not required for maintenance treatments of a healthy animal.
